چکیده
In this letter, we propose layered asymmetrically clipped optical-orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (LACO-OFDM) with index modulation (IM), i.e., LACO-OFDM-IM for optical wireless systems. classical LACO-OFDM, the spectral leakage because of out-of-band clipping harmonics increases baseband bandwidth (BB) resulting in lower efficiencies. For LACO-OFDM-IM, use IM and optimize BB by filtering harmonics. This amalgamation optimization leads to better efficiency (SE). Simulation results shall affirm that achieves higher SE, affords a comprehensive granularity SE/energy trade-off, outperforms alternatives terms bit-error-rate both line-of-sight time-dispersive channels.

Automatic Modulation Classification for Adaptive Wireless OFDM Systems
The flexible adaption of the transmission scheme to the current channel state becomes more and more a key issue in future communication systems. One efficient solution in multicarrier systems like Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has been proven to be adaptive modulation (AM) where the modulation scheme is selected on a subcarrier-basis or group of subcarriers. A lot of researc...

Infrared optical wireless (OW) is a promising technology associating free-space propagation and infrared radiation for home networks. OW offers several advantages over radio technologies, making it an attractive solution for short range communications. However, OW technology is not as mature as for radio; further advanced studies regarding optical components and physical layer issues are still ...
متن کاملSpectrally and Energy Efficient OFDM (SEE-OFDM) for Intensity Modulated Optical Wireless Systems
Spectrally and energy efficient orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (SEE-OFDM) is an optical OFDM technique based on combining multiple asymmetrically clipped optical OFDM (ACO-OFDM) signals into one OFDM signal. By summing different components together, SEE-OFDM can achieve the same spectral efficiency as DC-biased optical OFDM (DCO-OFDM) without an energy-inefficient DC-bias. This pape...
